The Shift

Many questions have been asked about 2012 but no one answer can
truly explain what is all about.
This is simply because 2012 hasn't arrived yet!

Some have attempted to describe what will happen by calling it `The Shift`. What we may experience in 2012 could be a `shift` in consciousness or a `shift` in time. Or perhaps the very axis of the earth will `shift` bringing a whole new cycle of weather to earth.I am personally in no doubt that there will be change. What that change entails is the big puzzle. The world could certainly do with a change, there is far too much suffering overshadowing the beauty of this world. However, I believe it is vital that we don't get into a negative view about the future. It is having negative attitudes that got us into trouble in the past. We need to embrace the opportunity that is 2012 and make the changes we need in order to restore the harmony of this planet.
Positive determination is what we need on a global scale.
In 1967, in the summer of love, we came very close to global positive determination. So what happened?
Did we climax too soon and burn out? No, I don't think so; I believe the time wasn't right. Yet, we've seen that it is possible to get the masses loved up and this gives us inspiration. I am convinced it can happen again and next time it will be a bigger love movement and one that will never fade away. A velvet revolution.
As a mother, I know what it is like to give birth. The baby doesn't just pop out in one push. And Mother Earth knows too, that giving birth to a new generation doesn't just happen in one push either. The sixties was the first push forward. In 2012 the final push will happen and the earth will give birth to a new kind of human. A loving race of beings who understand the worth of life on this earth.
But what sets off this remarkable chain of events? Why is the year 2012 earmarked for this velvet revolution?
The astrology of the Maya point to this date clearly. This sophiscated race of people went to the trouble to chart time and the movement of planets thousands of years before they existed themselves and way ahead into the future years after they themselves had disappeared. They concluded that a great cycle ends in 2012 and they gave it enormous significance. Now, I could delve deeply here into the astronomy of it all but I'd be repeating myself. I go into this in more details elsewhere on the site. The point I want to make here is this: Whether or not the Maya predicated it (as well as many other cultures)
the essential thing here is that we can make the prophecy come true.
I tell the cynics, you don't have to believe Mayan astronomy; you only have to believe that we can consciously change things because we want to. The velvet revolution involves no violence, only changes of heart.
We can make a pact, that no matter what the Maya or anyone else says, we will change the world in 2012.
