Hello Kin
I am White Magnetic Mirror and I am the webmistress behind Mayan Times.
This website is truly is a labour of love.It took me ages to write all the pages and design the site. On top of that I`d never used the web design software before!
I am quite proud of the outcome, I don`t think it`s too bad for a first website. Of course I couldn`t have done it without my lovely partner Paul
( Blue Rhythmic Night) who patiently helped me with the web design software when I got stuck.
I have been following the calendar for seven years now and it has changed
my whole outlook on life and time.
I wanted to share these life changing experinces with other people which is why I put this website together. I felt there was not enough information available on the web for people who were interested in the calendar but did not know much about it. There was already plenty of websites for people who have been following it for sometime, but the jargon used on these sites were confusing for beginners.The calendar can be very complicated and you can take to many levels but you don`t have to, in order to benefit from it, or to enjoy it. I felt it was time that someone presented it in a user- friendly way.
The information on this website involved a huge deal of time and research but most of it comes from my own personal experinces.
For example; The information about the animal moons came from my research into animal totemnism which began some ten years before I discovered the calendar.
I felt that no one had really delved into their importance and the Maya would have taken very seriously the messages of animals,
after all they attributed 13 constellations to them.I always say to people when they want to know about their birthcharts, that it is not just the Tzolkin you need to understand,but your animal moon really says alot about you. That`s why two people born on the same day
in the Tzolkin can be very different.
If they were born under different moons it adds a whole new perspective to their chart.
As for me I am born under the Owl moon.This is what intially drew me to the Maya because I already knew my totem was an owl, years before I discoverd the calendar.I thought it was uncanny that the Maya called the moon I was born under the owl moon and so
I felt compelled to take a closer look to their calendar.
In the Tzolkin , I was born a White Magnetic Mirror. So I think it is appropriate that I spend my time persuading people to be `decoded`.
I am asking folk to look in the mirror and find out what they are.In time I hope to be able to open a 2012 centre where I can hold workshops and gatherings.
In the meantime, I shall keep updating this website each moon with the new daily forecasts.
