Adapting to a new calendar

It is important to not only be aware of the changes to come in 2012, but to be involved with the process .
To do that you need only to follow the calendar and you can begin a journey of understanding the
nature of time. Humans have always asked deep questions such as ‘who am I?‘ or ‘where are we?‘

Yet what we need to ask is ‘when are we?

To live with the calendar is to accept that there are natural cycles of time. When you begin to live more
naturally you begin to benefit from your time here on earth. Your ‘timing’ improves.

Once you have `decoded` your birthday and you know what day in the calendar you were born on. (finding your kin) You can then create your birthchart and learn which glyph is your guide, challenge, occult and like-minded. Once you have done that you can then add some more depth to your chart by understanding about the wavespell you were born in and what animal moon. But that is still only half of it, for to really benefit from this knowledge you need to follow the Tzolkin on a daily basis. Learn how you relate to the calendar by noting each day. Which is a guide day for you or perhaps a challenge?
It is also to take notice when it is a portal day so you can then act upon it. Only by living with the calendar, can it`s magic really start to work for you. There are many cynics out there, notably archeologists and scientists who intellectually argue about the calendar and the different counts. The point is you can`t begin to understand it until you actually use it. I have lived with it daily for five years now and I can say that it has changed by life. Instead if waking up and saying to myself `oh it`s just another Wednesday`,
I can say what kind of day is it in the calendar? Is it a Blue Monkey day? Then it is a good day for magic?
Is it a Yellow Warrior day? Is it a good one to go questing?

Life and time itself takes on a deeper meaning.The only way to experince it, is to try to live with and see if it works for you.

Another good way to get acquianted with the Mayan Calendar is to experiment with the art of it. Practice drawing and colouring your own glyph and get to know it. The sacred Mayan art, works on the same prinicple as sacred geomentry. He was able to relate to the Maya as one artist to another and that is how the magic of the calendar was revealed to him. Scientists failed to really grasp the Maya because their methods of diagnostics shunned metaphyiscal priniciples.
You cannot use western narrow -minded thinking to understand highly spiritually advanced beings like the Maya.

Once you have begun to live with the calendar you will begin to see amazing patterns emerge.
It opens up a journey that in the end takes you into 2012 with the right frame of mind.
